Description: This dataset includes information about Wisconsin springs that discharge at rates of approximately 0.25 cubic feet per second or more at the time of the inventory. The information was collected during site surveys between July 2014 and August 2017. The point features represent the spring locations; attributes include site observations and measurements made during the site survey. Each spring included in this dataset also has corresponding photographs with captions and a hand-drawn site map. The methodology, results, and full explanation of dataset attributes are documented in an accompanying report.

Description: This is a limited dataset of groundwater-fed ponds in Wisconsin that are positioned in headwater settings. This information was collected as part of an inventory of springs that discharge at rates of approximately 0.25 cubic feet per second or more at the time of the inventory. While discrete, high-discharge springs were not observed in these ponds, discharge measurements were collected to document overall pond outflow. The information was collected during site surveys between July 2014 and August 2017. The point features represent the pond locations; attributes include site observations and measurements made during the site survey. Features in this dataset also have corresponding photographs with captions. The methodology, results, and full explanation of dataset attributes are documented in an accompanying report.

Description: This dataset includes all of the sites investigated, but not surveyed, during the 2014-2017 project to inventory Wisconsin springs that discharge at rates of at least approximately 0.25 cubic feet per second. The dataset documents efforts to locate qualifying springs, and provides explanations for why features were not surveyed. Reasons that the sites were not surveyed include site access problems, and spring flow rate less than the minimum discharge criterion for the inventory. The point features represent approximate site locations; attributes include the original source for the possible spring site, and the reason the site was not included in the inventory. The methodology and results are documented in an accompanying report.
