Service Description: This map service provides information about geologic samples in the historic Lake Superior Legacy Collection (LSLC). The LSLC is managed by the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey and consists of field notebooks, maps, hand samples, thin sections, and ledgers compiled by the Lake Superior Division of the U.S. Geological Survey from approximately 1882 to 1922.
